Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Ahmed H. Ramadan ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Bizworld mobile application (the "App") on Android. Bizworld is a single-player business simulation game. The App does not require you to create an account.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. See also our Terms of Service.
Summary
- No account required. You play offline; game progress is stored on your device.
- We do not operate game servers or store your full game save in the cloud.
- Analytics help us understand how the App is used. We use PostHog and Vexo Analytics.
- Session replay may record in-app screen activity; text inputs are masked.
- Ads (Google AdMob) appear in the free version unless you purchase Pro.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you start a new game, you may enter a player display name and choose an avatar. You may also name companies and edit other in-game labels. This information is stored locally on your device as part of your game save and is not uploaded to our servers.
Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and app information (e.g., operating system, app version, platform)
- Usage and interaction data (e.g., screens viewed, features used, session duration)
- Anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers generated by analytics and advertising SDKs
- Diagnostic and error information when something goes wrong in the App
- Advertising-related data when ads are shown (see Advertising)
- Purchase and entitlement status related to Bizworld Pro (see In-app purchases)
Information we do not collect
- We do not require your real name, email address, phone number, or password to play.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location.
- We do not collect payment card numbers; payments are handled entirely by Google.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App
- Understand how players use features and improve gameplay
- Diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues
- Display advertisements in the free version of the App
- Process and verify Bizworld Pro purchases and restore entitlements
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
Game data stored on your device
Your game progress—including companies, finances, investments, skills, contacts, and preferences—is saved locally on your device using on-device storage (MMKV via TinyBase). This data remains on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the App.
You can delete your local game data at any time from Settings → Start New Game in the App.
Uninstalling the App will generally remove local game data. Depending on your device settings, your operating system may back up app data; we do not control device-level backups.
Analytics
We use third-party analytics services to understand App usage on the Android app.
PostHog
We use PostHog (hosted in the United States at
us.i.posthog.com) to collect usage analytics. PostHog may receive:
- App lifecycle events (e.g., app opened, app backgrounded)
- Screen navigation events (route paths within the App)
- Custom gameplay events, such as starting or restarting a game, creating a company, placing business blocks, advancing time, trading in markets, engaging in activities, fundraising actions, company bankruptcy, paywall views, and in-app rating prompts
- Contextual properties attached to events, such as platform, app version, anonymous game session ID, current in-game week, and whether Pro is active
- Error events including a short error message and context label
PostHog session replay is enabled. Session replay may record your interactions with the App interface to help us improve usability. In our configuration:
- Text input fields are masked
- Images are not masked
- Console logs may be captured
- Network request telemetry is not captured
PostHog assigns a persistent session identifier across app restarts. We do not intentionally send your player display name or company names as analytics properties, but session replay could incidentally capture on-screen text that is not masked.
Vexo Analytics
We also use Vexo Analytics to collect product analytics. Vexo may collect standard mobile analytics data such as device type, session information, and usage patterns. Please refer to Vexo's privacy policy for details on their data practices.
Advertising
The free version of Bizworld displays ads served by Google AdMob. Pro users who have purchased Bizworld Pro do not see ads.
Ad formats in the App include:
- Banner ads displayed at the bottom of certain screens
- Interstitial ads shown at defined gameplay milestones (for example, when advancing time across year boundaries)
Before ads are requested, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather advertising consent where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom). Depending on your choices and applicable law, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Google and its partners may collect and use information about your device and ad interactions to serve and measure ads. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can manage ad personalization through your device settings and, where available, through consent choices presented in the App or your device's advertising settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
In-app purchases
Bizworld offers an optional Pro upgrade as a one-time lifetime purchase (not a recurring subscription). Purchases are processed through Google Play.
We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts, manage entitlements, and enable "Restore Purchases." RevenueCat may receive:
- An anonymous customer identifier
- Purchase and entitlement status for Bizworld Pro
- Store transaction identifiers provided by Google
We do not receive or store your payment card details. Google's privacy policy governs payment processing.
Pro unlocks:
- Removal of all advertisements
- Additional business types (e.g., social media platform, cloud hosting, food delivery, ride-hailing, airline)
- Additional investment markets (property, commodities, crypto, luxury)
- Faster time-advance speeds
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers that help us operate the App (analytics, advertising, purchase management), subject to their privacy policies
- Google Play when you make or restore a purchase
- Legal requirements if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Protection of rights to protect the safety, rights, or property of us, our users, or others

Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Practical steps you can take in the App and on your device:
- Delete local game data: Settings → Start New Game
- Manage ad consent: follow prompts presented by Google's consent flow, where applicable
- Limit ad tracking: use your device's privacy and advertising settings
- Purchase Pro: removes ads entirely
Because we do not operate user accounts, we may not be able to identify analytics data tied to a specific person without additional information you provide to us (such as a support request). To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing include legitimate interests (improving and operating the App), consent (where required for advertising and analytics), and contractual necessity (processing purchases).
Children's privacy
Bizworld is a business and economic simulation intended for a general audience. The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App contains advertising, in-app purchases, and analytics including session replay, which are not appropriate for unsupervised use by young children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it where possible.
International transfers
We are based outside the United States, but some of our service providers (including PostHog, hosted in the United States) may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App and our service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Game data stored on your device is your responsibility to safeguard through your device passcode and backup settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or through store listings. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
